Terms of Service

1. Acceptance

By registering an account or using NeonPaw ("the Game", "the Service"), you agree to these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the Service. We may update these terms at any time — continued use of the Service means you accept any changes.

2. Age Requirement

You must be at least 18 years old to use NeonPaw. By registering, you confirm that you meet this requirement. Accounts found to belong to minors will be terminated immediately.

3. Alpha Status

NeonPaw is currently in Closed Alpha. This means the game is unfinished, may contain bugs, and features may change, be removed, or be reset at any time without notice. We make no guarantees about uptime, data persistence, or feature availability during this period.

4. Your Account

You are responsible for your account and everything that happens under it. Keep your password secure. Do not share your account with anyone else. One account per person — creating multiple accounts is not permitted. We reserve the right to suspend or terminate any account at our discretion, with or without notice.

5. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

Harass, threaten, or abuse other players
Exploit bugs, glitches, or unintended game mechanics — report them instead
Use bots, scripts, or automation tools to play the game
Attempt to hack, disrupt, or gain unauthorized access to the Service
Upload inappropriate, offensive, or illegal content (including profile images)
Impersonate staff or other players
Use the Service for any illegal purpose

Violations may result in a warning, suspension, or permanent ban depending on severity.

6. User Content

You retain ownership of any content you upload (such as character images). By uploading content, you grant NeonPaw a license to display it within the Service. We reserve the right to remove any content that violates these terms or that we deem inappropriate, without notice or explanation. All uploaded images must be Safe For Work (SFW). Explicit or adult content is strictly prohibited.

7. Virtual Currency & Purchases

NeonPaw offers a virtual currency called Shards which can be earned in-game or purchased with real money. Please be aware:

Shards have no real-world monetary value and cannot be exchanged for cash
Shards are tied to your account and cannot be transferred to other players
All purchases are final — no refunds will be issued except where required by law
During Alpha, shard purchases may not yet be available. Any future purchases will be clearly marked
We reserve the right to modify, discontinue, or reset virtual currency at any time

8. Privacy

We take your privacy seriously:

We collect your username, email address, and gameplay data to operate the Service
We do not sell, rent, or share your personal data with third parties
We do not display advertising of any kind
Your email is used only for account-related communications (password resets, security notices)
We may log gameplay actions for moderation and anti-cheat purposes
You may request deletion of your account and associated data by contacting us

9. Moderation

Staff members (Moderators and Admins) may review reports, issue warnings, remove content, and suspend or ban accounts. Staff decisions are final. If you believe a moderation action was made in error, you may contact us to appeal.

10. Disclaimer of Warranties

NeonPaw is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. We do not guarantee that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that your data will never be lost. Use the Service at your own risk. During Alpha especially, data resets may occur.

11. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, NeonPaw and its operators shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Service, including but not limited to loss of virtual items, account termination, or data loss.
